constructive criticism和constructive feedback差别是什么?

moonwalker: Tuck推荐信里问的是constructive criticism ,Duke的是constructive feedback。 不知道有多大的差别?请教。

jelt2359: Criticism necessarily points out your bad points and teaches you how to improve; feedback could be both bad or good points.

Hey there, happy to offer up some help here.  Yes, there is a subtle difference between constructive criticism and constructive feedback.  It will likely not affect your letter of recommendation (LOR) much.  But let me describe the difference for you.

Criticism is where you say something somewhat negative.  Constructive feedback is somewhat positive, or at least proactive.  Productive.  So constructive criticism might be, “Sometimes, you speak to people too informally.”  Constructive feedback is, “When you talk to people, you should try to speak more formally.”  So the LOR wouldn’t be too different—but this is the difference between the two words, from an English perspective.  Hope this helps!
