马上 04.15 了，天天蹲家里上班挺闲，来总结一下申请，谈一些自我感受。

时间线：

• GMAT 和 TOEFL 都过期了，so...
• 10 月：开始准备 GMAT
• 11 月：考 GMAT（没挤出时间考TOEFL）
• 11 月下：准备 PS + CV，光速选校（see below）
• 11 月底：拿着 application 的 draft package,找硕士教授聊推荐信（2 econ，1 math）
• 12 - 1 月中：按照 due date 申请
• 1 月底 - 04.15：开始面试，来 offer,拒面试，拒 offer,不停被拒……

选校思路：

• Can waive TOEFL for me.
• 东部的 tire 1 & 2（事实证明 should save money for tire 1,apply tire 2 only）
• 中部 CU Boulder,Utah(easy to go ski...)
• 西部 UCSD（感谢当年给了 stat 的硕士，虽然没去，回报一个申请费）
• 相信上面范围的学校都能有 match 我的老师，所以选校有点简单粗暴。初期没看教授研究领域

背景及结果：

• 陆本(econ 3.6)，美硕（金工 3.9），工作（less than 3 years）
• 本科有 RA 经历，但是本科教授说我已经硕士了，还是找硕士教授比较好，然而硕士就业导向无 RA 经历。anyway 没有 solid RA 都是泪
• Offer with interview: Florida, Rochester
• Offer without interview: CU Boulder (side note, 3 real estate/house finance AP in Boston/Stanford/likely UCLA will leave their current school and join Boulder), Utah
• Withdraw from interview: CUNY Baruch, GSU (both are good, withdraw due to personal preference, no offence to anyone in these schools)
• All others rejected without interview

一些感受/建议：

• Never too late no matter where you are in your career, but better to prepare early
• TOEFL 过期也考一个，不然有些学校没机会申
• 可能工作后口语进步了，给面试的都给了 offer(except 主动 withdraw),如果这方面不够自信，请提前 prepare,practice,tell story with your degree or experience
• 没有 solid RA 的，也最好找找这样的机会（工作党可以找找 part time RA,看看这位楼主的帖子 https://forum.chasedream.com/thread-1364461-1-1.html）
• 实在没有 solid RA 的机会，talk more with your professors so they can write a better letter，and do your best in all other parts.
