半个月前无意中看到了 WISC 新开了 MSBA，因为男朋友在 WISC 读书，而且 WISC 的排名好好啊，所以决定申请。

申请前问了 director 一些项目信息，分享给大家。

1. I know admission decisions of this program are made on a rolling basis. I would like to know how many students will be admitted this year and if there is still any spot available right now? （4.6 日询问，官网申请 DDL 是5.15）
   Yes, we still have space in our program and will be accepting applications until May 15th. We don’t know how many students will be in the program – but we are being highly selective to keep the class smaller and be able to give lots of attention to our students to make sure they get the academic materials as well as get the support they need to find a job or internship.

2. Whether this program focuses more on business and marketing or focuses more on technical skills in programming?
   The program is housed in the business school and will definitely have some programming and hard statistics aspects, but there is a lot of focus on how to implement the analytics into business problems and apply business solutions.
   The program is broad across all areas of business – marketing, finance, management, etc. It will be up to the student to take the classes they want to support their area of interest.

3. Do you provide any networking resources to help international students find local internships or jobs?
   Our Career Management Team will be supporting the MSBA students alongside the MBA students in their networking and job search. They are a top-notch team – you will be impressed. （同录取的小伙伴也问过，说就业资源会和 MBA marketing research 方向共享）

4. Would you please kindly share an example of cooperative companies for the consulting practicum in the spring semester of the MSBA program?
   As for which companies we will work with for the Consulting Practicum – I will be teaching that class. I don’t have companies totally confirmed as that is a year away but I teach a marketing version of the class now and our client firms include Microsoft, Pepsi Co, American Family Insurance, Ford Automotive and Lands’ End (a clothing retailer). It is going to be major firms and real analytic questions the company is facing. I think it will be a great experience.

5. Is it a must for students to graduate in May? Can they extend for one more semester?
   I will have to look into if students can stay an extra semester – I believe that will be acceptable. It is smart of you to ask – UW-Madison has a LOT of great analytic classes and you can make the most of your time here.
