新鲜的Pittsburgh面经，Jessica是超级nice的blond，very informal interview， 全程我的面部肌肉都是放松的，而我是个临场发挥很糟糕的人。有个细节我注意到- 摄像头旁边墙上好像有个红色中国结 也不知道是应景还是喜欢中国文化

主要问了我二个问题-

介绍下自己leisure time。我喜欢看romantic and humorous novel.举了个最近看的莫泊桑的小说 然后感叹那时的女人没有自主权 我们生活在一个可以自己做主的时代 很幸运/// Jessica回答--美国女人没有结婚的压力 30+没有催婚blah blah blah

你喜欢运动吗 我说自己容易感冒 所以force自己每天jog二小时 运动对身体好 然后扯到因为运动这个月大姨妈也不疼了 上个月疼死哭在床上/// Jessica回答- Pitts有山 很易于exercise 她就坚持运动
我说 运动确实有益 但不容易坚持 很多时候我就坐在沙发上 看电视 Jessica- 对 我自己也有时候坚持不下来 blah blah blah

还问了下选择了哪些学校 我说有几所没消息 几所拒绝了 at this moment I really focus on three schools and pitt is one of them[趁机表忠心啊]

Q&A

1. phd program in accounting 不太喜欢招收本校的研究生 主要是为了diversity and objectivity
2. length of the program 国际生一般都是把一年半extend to two years while the domestic students just want to hurry to graduate.
3. living expense and security issue 费用不高 房租每月400-500 top. 至于安全问题 Jessica说Pitt which is a small city which nothing is going on，住了十四年没感觉到危险 一般是bad people involve in danger and we normal people are just fine. 我还顺便黑了纽约的房价和安全问题哈哈哈
4. consulting field project 会计可以选修 但要拿resume等材料经过刷选 【然后我插了一句】-是很好的积累经验的机会
5. 多久完全适应 大概一个学期to feel pretty comfortable, 因为想家 饮食什么的 【然后我插了一句】-我不太担心生活问题 比较担心academic affair 因为我觉得自己比较independent blah blah blah 然后Jessica就夸我 有独立性好啊等。。。

其中我黑了一下Fordham的面试 说面试官太严肃 I get no response at all and don’t know whether I have made him happy or not. Jessica说也喜欢互动的面试 我赶紧说是的 好的面试是mutual interaction， you get a little about me and I get to know about you.

小结--不需要太严肃准备 因为整个过程是很轻松的聊天模式 但是你必须有反应并且趁机展示自己优势【心机脸】-譬如我就见缝插针展示computer skills and independence，我还说中国学生因为资源稀缺所以竞争激烈 但自己秉承的人生信条是be kind to others even though they are unkind to you。 我还说了很多话 就不一一记录了 我觉得自己这次的表现做到了有一定的话语掌握权 引导面试官到自己想说的方面 而不是处于F大的那种完全被面试官带着走的窘境 一句话-多互动 尽量展示自己优点

【题外话】 觉得申请是个互动的过程 而招收工作人员和面试官无疑是学校的门面 因为人们容易stick to first impression。 Pittsburgh给我留下的印象是个认真做项目 对学生很负责的学校 我若没有tulane 的ad 应该会选择Pittsburgh
