亲爱的同志们，

M姐刚刚结束了UC的phone interview：very nice and friendly, only general questions about my CV. 0% of technical questions. Decision will be available around the end of this year.

背景先：
某外国语大学（非211）2011届 商务英语专业 T109, G720+5, IEILS7.5,GPA3.4。
在校小创业两次。其中一次做了网站（但不是我做的，编程神马的一窍不通）。成绩总是三等奖。各种金融证券相关的证书， sign~~我是申MIS的。500强外企女民工一年——IT桌面支持（中英文）。刚辞职，转学入家里蹲大学。

好多人对UC不了解，他家的项目个人认为非常不错。Edulix上面信息非常全面，我摘抄一下：

Common Q&A: （这是最新的Q&A，UC官网上也有别的Q&A

1. GPA - Enter 0.0, if your university didn't had GPA system.
2. LOR's - if 3 then preferably 2 from your work place and 1 from academic. if 2 then 1 from each.
3. TOEFL scores - Enter your true scores notwithstanding what input options you have on the appl. page. Enter your iBT scores.
4. Financial docs not required to be send along with packet. You will have the option of uploading it online once you get an admit.
5. Application packet - Sealed transcripts and a xerox copy of attested degree certificate/provisional degree certificate. Send only the docs which are asked.
6. Interviews - Just be yourself. Project your strengths.
7. Decisions - 1st deadline is 15th nov, if am correct, so expect decisions once interviews for all those who applied in first round are completed. it was 14th dec, last time around.

关于UC Advantages -

1. If you dont want to lose touch with the technical side of things much. This is the course for you.
2. Large array of technology related credits to choose from.
3. Internships almost guaranteed
4. Faculty, career services active in helping with internships, placements.
5. 97% placements.
6. SAP experts paradise.
7. IS dept has very good relationships with companies
8. No competition with CS Grads
9. Class is small Fall 2010, 33 students. Strictly only about 50% are international students. （去年是45个左右，中国人只有三个）
10. Cost is reasonable.
11. Wise and reasonable in extending admits. When you see each admitted profile, you yourself will notice that the profile had a little "something" which helped it make it to UC.

UC Downside -

1. If you're more interested towards the management track. Wrong course!
2. UC is known for SAP. For other career tracks, it is not that well known.
3. Not many big names amongst post MIS jobs.
4. Less freshers.
5. Does not appear to be high on rankings. I will double check on this.

他家的Co-op（带薪实习）几乎是100%，因为自MSIS项目存在以来只有一个人没有找到Co-op的实习。整个项目是4 quarters课程，2-3 quarters的带薪实习，平均能赚20K+。。quarter不等于semester，一个quarter大概十周。
