Tell me a programming language you like most and you are familiar with? And give me an example of how you used it in solving a problem?
Python. (Great. If you are good at R as well, you will be a successful MFE student.) I know a little bit R. But I worked with data in python. I know for data processing, R might be more efficient in computing. I will start to gain more knowledge in it.
Tell me an experience in working with others? In your training, do you work indepdently a lot or collaborate with others? What was your role?
70% independently. Because I am in Phd program. Program hopes you could be independent scientist in future. But I do have group-working experience. blah blah blah blah. I did .....
Do you read finance news?
Yes. Wall street journal. Everything is about oil and snow. Hahahahahaha!
What is your favorite position among algotrading, desk quant, buyside analyst? And tell me why?
Buy-side analyst (LA.... BLAH BLAH BLAH. Applying for the Guggenheim buyside analyst this summer.)
