参加了U chicago的电话面试，是申请前预约的。之前发了封简历给校友面试官。整个过程我觉得像是走过场。一共28分钟。我接到手机的时候跟她说声音不清楚，结果她说只要她听我清楚就行了，所以就说继续。然后她顺序问了我about yourself, Why MBA, Why Chicago, Leadership experience等一般性的问题，然后就要我提问，她的回答也非常简单。请大家讨论一下这种面试的重要性。最后我问她对我印象如何，她说不能说。。。

I think it all depends on individual interviewers. It\'s hard to say the result, maybe she gave you some good comment, who knows.

倒也不能说没有意义。因为面试最根本的目的是了解申请者的口语能力，表达能力，综合反应等。比起面对面的，效果会稍差点。但也基本上能了解一些必要的东西。

楼上的话倒是有道理。不过我觉得面试不像我以前想的那么重要了，肯定不如essay重要。

这种面试还是尽努力吧。做的好可能帮助有限，但做差了会比较伤。

it is hard to say that telephone interview is just that.

one scenario is that after she review your information, she does not think you will make it, in that case, she is just doing her duties.

another scenario is that she does not want to spend too much time doing this free for her schools. if she is a chinese, that is pretty common.

but from her name, I guess she is not a Chinese. Besides, from the beginning and the scheduling of the interview, I found her quite busy.
