近日收到如下email：

Dear  XXXX ,

The XXX MBA Program cordially invites you to meet with a representative from the Admissions Office during our upcoming MBA TOUR to Tokyo, Seoul, Beijing and Taipei.  We will discuss your interest in obtaining an MBA and how the University of XXX can assist you with achieving your goals.  Please contact us at 217-244-XXXX or via email at XXX if you have any questions regarding these upcoming events or the XXX MBA in general. 

We look forward to meeting you!

Sincerely,

不知是否是正是的面试邀请，已去信询问，尚无答复。不知如何决定。这些地方都离我够远，去一趟成本不小。多谢DX解答。

I don't think so. If they would invite you for an interview, they will let you know when and where to interview. Basically they are coming to attend the MBA tour, and just send out promotional emails to potential applicants.

能去则去, 当作锻炼也好. 我也收到过类似的东西.

但是这个没有面试的机会吧，只是告诉你有这么一个tour，你可以去参加，在tour上可以和adcom谈一下，问你想问的问题。

I think it is a good chance to practice your English.

at the same time, if you can give them a good impression, it is good for your application.

It is just an invitation to the MBA tour session. However, if you\'re really interested in this school, you could ask for an interview with adcom at the same time. Of course, you have to wait until they approve your request.

I agree with Chipmunk. I heard from many these kinds of invitations from the school I applied, and from others I did not as well. If you live far from the cities they are going I suggest you ignore this information unless they accept your request for interview. usually they may offer you an interview if you have a strong background.
