HKUST MBA PT 面经 [2023.06.09]

Timeline:

• 05.15 submission
• 05.18 shortlisted
• 06.09 zoom interview
• 06.14 email con-offer

应该是非常 last minute 的极限操作了，之前一直没太想明白 why MBA 这个问题，和毕业校友聊，和 faculty 聊（在中环 downtown campus 和 prof stephen），说到底还是 ROI 的问题，想明白之后动作就很快，赶着 final round deadline 之前提交了所有材料，并且还好有 ChatGPT 帮我修改我的 essay.

BG:

教育：陆 211 本港硕，非金融专业
工作：在港 10 年，横跨中资 AM 和 WM 的 front office，目前负责某出海中资管理人香港业务
因工作超过 7 年 + 港硕，waive GRE 和语言

面试只能说准备了 70%，剩下 30% 只能现场随机发挥。30 分钟 zoom interview 打满，2 个人轮流提问，问了很多工作内容相关的（可能 PT program 都会这样？）

Interview Qs:

1. Introduce yourself.
2. Why UST? (很意外没有问Why MBA)
3. ST & LT career goal.
4. Why apply so late?
5. Tell me about your industry.
6. Tell me what you’ve done in your recent job?
7. How did you make a career transition to asset management?
8. Any conflicts experienced, internally or externally.
9. Tell me some difficulties that you had experienced in your job.
10. How many people under your management and what’s your leadership style?
11. Tell me a little about your interest in aerial photography. (提了 DJI 老板想舔一波 UST，但很意外面试官没有概念我在说什么）
12. How will you balance your time between MBA and your job?
13. Ask back.
