Speaking of this experience, I want to talk about a ceremony that was held two weeks ago. Well, I was assigned with an impromptu task to host the award ceremony for an international piano competition in front of the whole school. This made me shocked, because I supposed to host another ceremony two months later. Notified by the organizing committee only twelve hours before the actual ceremony, I was certainly intimidated by the amount of work and pressure I had to deal with. (I then decided to accept the challenge and see what I was capable of.) Fortunately, the ceremony turned out to be a success, and I was very proud of myself.
This experience certainly is essential to me because by embracing it, I got to overcome and challenge myself. At the same time, this experience also allowed me to exercise my ability to deal with critical situations.

Well, I would like to share my experience of American modeling competition. I was the leader of the team, responsible for assigning tasks, and coding part. There were other two members to collect the data and write the paper respectively. At the point near deadline, we almost finished our work, just setting type left, however, suddenly, our translated paper lost in the laptop, oh my gosh, I was so anxious and didn’t know what to do in the beginning. Then I calm down and decided to try to finish our work. Even though we still miss the DDL since no time left. We contact the organizer by email, explaining our situation, but it cannot work. Finally, we kept our paper, in case of emergency. But I have been satisfied, because all of us did our best, and it was the best result. I learnt that always sticking to the goal, not give up no matter what emergency happened. And always remember to back up the documents, in case of losing.

Well, I would like to share an experience of coding when I joined in a credit card program. Since the tutor asked us deal with data by Python, my process is a little hard in the very beginning, because I was totally a newcomer to this language. My coding was always going wrong or the syntax is not standard. There was no one to ask, and I firstly looked at the error, and searched it in the internet, try to debug the coding with myself. Thanks to my basis of Java and SQL, there were some similarity between them. Then I firstly understood the logic behind the task, and thought about the method, then using code to complete the data analysis. After that, I learnt not only analysis by Python, but also skills of solving problem in coding.
Tell me about a time when you became lost while traveling in a country other than your own. What was the outcome and what did you learn?
I would like to share my experience of a trip. I booked an accommodation on Airbnb, then the host sent me the location. I firstly used Google map to navigate my way, but I couldn’t find that house. Since the roads in the community were narrow and complicated, I couldn’t distinguish the direction. Therefore, I decided gave up my mobile phone, and asked the security staff straightly, finally, under their guidance, I found my house.
This experience makes it know that people these days may be rely too much on electronics and Internet, but this lifestyle may not always be efficient. Sometimes we should communicate directly with others and just put down the phone. This is a good way to improve communication skills, and it can also shorten the distance between people.

Once I think I am good at public speaking, so I did not prepare in advance for the public presentation of the final stage of a competition. However, during the speech, I found that what I said could not be combined with the PPT prepared by the team members, which made me very panic and made mistakes. Although I adjusted it very quick, we only got the second rather than first place. This made my team lose the opportunity to participate in national competitions. I failed the trust of the team members, which made me feel guilty. However, everyone did not blame me, and said that we can work hard next time. Through this experience, I understood that teamwork can enhance the potential of the team. At the same time, I also understand the importance of pre-checking. If I can check it in advance, there will be no subsequent panic errors, then our team may be the first place, and I believe that we will become more perfect in the future.

Specialist in cleaning water, several workers who know how to use relevant tools, local residents, and local geographer.
I am the leader and make some important and final decision, and Specialist is the consultant, and responsible for assigning different tasks for groups of workers, since he or she know about the whole structure of our project well;and works are necessary, whose task is carrying out the plans on time, therefore, they should be familiar with their work and tools;because the project is for a small country, we also need to know the local conditions, so local geographer and residents should be included, who can suggest and put forward some specific demands.

A little conflict erupted while I was participating in a debate. In the competition, a male insulted and physically attacked several of female members. and also rebuked it as an incident that caused by us. This made us feel insulted and very angry. After the game, we tried to talk with this man, but he couldn't listen at all. When we realized that we couldn't let it go like this, we chose to report to the organizer. Mr. Lee gave a critical education to him and made him apologized to us. This incident made me realize that women are relatively weaker than men when they are outside. When we be treated unfairly, we must fight back for our own personal interests. Protect the rights.
Meet any celebrity (e.g. politician/artist...), what would you do and say?
Oprah Winfrey:
For me, the person i XXX most is Oprah Winfrey. I knew her through watching ‘The Oprah Winfrey Show’. Oprah For her Determined and optimistic characters.
Instead of being limit by the society stereotype, she persists her dream as an anchor, despite that at that time, people resent the idea of having a black female host. She encountered with several serious setbacks, but even when she couldn't show her face in front of the public, she didn't quit. She persisted for 7 years, no matter how little chance she had to make it. Finally, she became the greatest female host in America. Her experience assures that, through persistent efforts, any misfortune or hardship in our lives are really the indispensable routes to success.

If you need to hold a culture exchange program between two countries which need to be far enough from each other, which two countries will you choose?
If I were to be in charge of a cultural exchange between two countries, I would choose the United States and Nepal. In the United States, the individual is the basic unit of social organization, and its culture respects personal values, and also advocates democracy and freedom. This spirit stimulates the enthusiasm of the individual and allows many people to fully realize their wisdom and potential.
However, Nepal has a strong religious belief. So the class system of Nepal is stricter and more rigid than that of the United States. Although Nepal began to implement a market-oriented free economic policy, its economic effects are not obvious due to many internal reasons. Therefore, in the exchange process, the two sides can communicate and understand in all aspects, and Nepal learns the open and diverse culture of the United States. At the same time, the United States can learn more about Nepal ’s mysterious religious culture.

Once I went to a Greek restaurant for dinner with my classmates. I met my friend Jacky sitting at the table next to me in the restaurant. We called the waiter and finished the order very quickly. But the table of my friends seemed to be ignored. I asked him about the reason, he said he already called the waiter. So, we ask the waiter what was going on again. The waiter politely told us that when friend called him, he had a bad attitude and did not respect him very much. However, Jacky said that he did not say anything disrespectful, he just rang a finger asked the waiter to come to order, which is normal in China. Speaking of this, we have discovered the real reason. In North America, you must not use this gesture to call someone over, which is especially impolite. So, I explained the problem to Jacky and suggested him to apologize. After listening to our apology and explanation, the waiter forgives him. This incident inspired me a lot of cross-cultural aspects.
If you have unlimited funds and can travel to anywhere in the world, where do you want to go and why?

To begin with, I can get to know the country by visiting Museum, historical relic, and treasures. Because these things reflect the history stories of the city, and how people living in that periods live.
Second, I can learn more about the historical timeline of this country by reading History books and materials, which records many anecdotes and important events from different perspectives. Moreover, Speeches from some well-known celebrities is also a great way, because they can be regarded as the representation in their own fields. The contexts of these speeches would be more professional easy-understood, and comprehensive.
Finally, we can use Social network, Facebook, ins in our free time to understand the lives of local people, because this social software is the platform that people communicate and show their daily life nowadays. In this case, we can find some popular elements in different cultures. 探讨文化

Well, I would like to share my experience of planning a lecture in my university. At that time, I suggest that, we can invite café and bars owners to deliver a relevant speech, instead of inviting some celebrities, since the cost is too high. And we could also hold this lecture in our school café, where audience can enjoy the atmosphere much better. Then the lecture is very successful, teachers praised my ideas and give bonus to me. Frankly speaking, I just refer to other schools’ examples, and consider that we could also mock their model. Therefore, I share those bonuses with my teammates, and spend it on our organization development. I knew deeply that it is our team joint efforts make every success, so everyone should take their own part seriously.

Once, my PE teacher chose me to be the leader, who needs to organize the students to train and prepare for the football match. However, it made me very alarmed, since we all knew that I was good at basketball rather than football, so I was worried that I could not train and lead a team. Therefore, I expressed my thoughts with the team members after class and acknowledged that I hope that everyone can work together and actively put forward their opinions so that we can achieve good results.
In this case, whenever I encountered a problem that I did not understand, I would seek the help of the team members. When the team members suggested that I did not do well in some areas, I would accept with an open mind and correct myself. Finally, we got the first place in the final football match. This time it made me understand the importance of teamwork. Compared to one person who guides the team, collects everyone's opinions and integrates to choose the best solution can improve efficiency and performance.

In our sports club, our leader led us to take part in a basketball competition, but actually my basketball skill and qualification is higher than our leader, since I have learnt it for many years. As a leader, she was responsible for taking us practice our skills, but sometimes I felt her guidance was wrong and there was another better method. I put forward my thoughts and tried to make a suggestion for her privately. Fortunately, she discussed with me very patiently and sometimes took my suggestions. I found that she can always considered more overall than me, since she would notice every member’s condition and make some adjustment. Maybe my skill is better than her, but she also had her own strength which I can learn from?
Ed1: You are the team leader of a group. Your team members with different culture have the difficulties in understanding each other. What will you do?
Ed2: If you are the leader of a diverse team and your team members have different perspectives. What will you do and why?
Firstly, I would like to group my team members by continents, like Asians, Americans, European and so on, since people from the same continent have some common in sense less or more.
Then appoint a group leader of them, who can communicate with others much better. And I will assign our tasks to every leader of different groups, and those leaders are responsible for communicating with their members and other leaders. I think it is a good way to enhance our working efficiency.
Moreover, creating some special expressions, like gestures or some characters, to represent common actions or notice is also a good option. Finally, we can also have a group meeting in the end, to share the opinions of the people in different cultures, I think it is a good way to expand our horizons and enhance our interpersonal skills.

First of all, I will call for a meeting, make them informed of the deadline, and the time left. And let them report their work progress and whether there are some difficulties. Then we can talk about the problems togethers and gather the opinions to solve it.
After that, sum up the situation, and discuss with them how to speed up the task, if there are indeed so much work left, I will share a part for them. Maybe at this point, I should make some important decision, like giving up some element in the original plan, and adjust our goals, and reschedule works for my teammates.
Last but not least, I can encourage and inspire them to work hard and stay confident for our goal, which is also a good method to enhance the working performance and efficiency.
Tell me about a time when you were partnered with someone on a team project who tried to do all of the work themselves. What was the outcome and what did you learn? 有一个人想做完全部的工作，问结果学到了什么？
I would like to share my experience in the school organization, and our main work is to hold lectures for students. I was in the publicity department, responsible for designing post for every lecture. Once the department, which planned the whole lecture, and assign tasks for others, was unsatisfied with my work, and stuck to make the post by themselves. I considered that was my part, and I wanted to complete it. I communicated with them, and asked them to give specific demands, and the deadline, and tried to present my design and thoughts. Finally, they accepted my post, and very content. In a team, there must be division of work and cooperation, which is always the most effective way to achieve the goal.
如果有人对你做了不道德的行为你会怎么做？结果怎么样？（队友）
Depends on how the behavior influence the teamwork. If the unethical behaviors are just a little negative influence on me, not some severe hurt, I will choose to leave it behind, and focus on the teamwork, and resolve it until the end of work. After all, overall interests are the first. Of course, if that behaviors are kind of serious, solving with him privately is also a good option. However, if the behavior on me has affected the whole team, this person should compensate his fault for the team, and I will discuss the solution with other members to decide whether still keep him in our team or not.

If a business idea is only profitable in your country，but is insensitive to other countries, will you accept?
We can analyze this problem from the perspective of marketing. Before an enterprise makes a business plan, it must first use an analysis model for planning. To be more specific, an enterprise must choose a target market based on a certain market segmentation, and then locate appropriate products and services, so as to determine the competitive position of the enterprise in the target market in the industry and obtain profits. However, when the large market environment has completely changed, we cannot determine whether the previous positioning and strategy are still suitable for the new market, because the factors of markets in other countries will change greatly.
At this time, if the business strategy cannot be changed in time, the competitiveness of the enterprise may be lower , thereby obtaining low profits.
如果你有一个选择，可以短期获益，但是会在长期跟你的跨国贸易伙伴有摩擦冲突，你会选这个选择么，原因？
Depends on how much the profit and the conflict. If the short-term profit is enormous, and the conflict is not very serious, I think I will choose it, since the profit can nearly offset the loss of conflication. Besides, I can promise my partners to compensate their lost, and thus it can be a win-win situation.
However, if the short-term benefit is just a little, I definitely choose to keep my long-term relationship with trading partners, because the partners can cooperate with me steadily in the future. In this case. maintaining partners’ interests is also maintaining my own interests. At the same time, we also need to consider about the causes of conflict and the manner in which benefits are obtained. If we want to gain benefits in an unethical way, then the choice is not desirable.

I would like to share my experience of internship in ogilvy. I was assigned to the electronic marketing department, to do some data analysis works. At the very beginning, I didn’t know anyone there, even my colleague and my tutor. I firstly found my tutor and bravely asked what I could do and the work arrangement. There were another two interns in my group, I said hello to them, and exchange our personal information, then discussed our tasks. The whole process was kind of smooth and fortunately, my colleague and tutor are very kind and easygoing. From this experience, I learnt that we should be brave and actively communicate with others even in a strange place, keep confidence and polite, making new friends is not a difficult thing.
Imagine that you are preparing a business case for a project that would make a positive impact on hunger or malnutrition in different parts of the world. How might you pitch this aspect of the project to a socially conscious stakeholder?（这道题在之前 JHU 的面经总汇里有原题）
Firstly, I will demonstrate how the products works on solving problems, and how much positive influence it can make. In this process, I will emphasize the distinctive characters and strengths of my products.
Secondly, the marketing plan should be presented for them, and discuss the availability of the plan with them. To be more specific, an enterprise needs to locate appropriate products and services, so as to determine the competitive position of the enterprise in the target market in the industry and obtain profits, and we also need to take their demand and suggestions into consideration.
Thirdly, show the benefit which their enterprise can earn with this product, including the good prestige, and other support of funding and so on.

I would tell them about Alipay, which is a really good invention in modern society. It’s an online payment system which invented by Alibaba. With the help of this app, people can pay and withdraw money in your account. Before Alipay was invented, we Used to cash payment, which is easy to lose, and change is also a troublesome thing. However, with Alipay, people only need to carry the mobile phone outsides, they can pay anything with it, and not worrying about the changes. Moreover, with a QR code, just by finger or face recognition, you can complete payment in a second. It can be applied to every field in our life, like transportation, your QR code can pay the fee; online shopping; transfer money from your bank card to your Alipay account, or reversely. In this case, there is no need to make these transactions in the bank.
If you are asked whether or not you could help solve the problem of the world, what will you respond?
Well, here is the thing. No one can solve all the problems in the world with just one person, and so do I. However, when facing problems and crises in the world, I will definitely do my best to help solve the problems. I can join in some non-government organizations, such as IUCN WWF and GEF. Or participate in some projects as international volunteers to help the world. I think we can contribute more to the issue of environmental protection in the world. The earth is where human beings live, so environmental issues are the most important issues of all. As far as I concerned, I signed up for an international volunteer speech project during the winter vacation in order to raise everyone's environmental awareness.

Well, I think it is the environmental problems. since the establishment of China, due to the rapid population growth, the interference of human production and life on the environment has destroyed the environmental quality. I think I should start with myself and influence everyone through my actions to protect the environment and raise public awareness of environmental protection. Besides, I can also join in some non-government organizations, such as IUCN WWF and GEF. Or participate in some projects as international volunteers to help our country.

Ed2：Imagine that you are asked whether or not you feel a responsibility to do something about the poor conditions that some people in the world live under. How might you approach your answer to that question?
The rich help the poor, large companies invest in small teams, and rich countries aid the poor. To a certain extent, they can be regarded as charity. There are many reasons for them to engage in charity.
The countries may regard the charity of foreign aid as a method of development, hoping that it can open up a new export market. At the same time, economic and diplomatic relations between the two sides can be strengthened. Individual involvement in charity may be affected by their own value system or moral obligations. They can take many forms, from starting a program of charity to other assistance like international aid agencies.
Do you think you are the citizen of the world?（慢点说）
Maybe we should firstly realize how to be a qualified citizen in our own country, then be a citizen of the world. Only when you are aware of the situation of your nation and know the problem and how to devote yourself to developing the society, you will have a better understanding of the whole world circumstances. Everyone should be the citizen of the world, since the earth is our human beings’ common homeland, we have duty to protect the world’s environment and everything. Therefore, we are supposed to love our nation, but not only our nation, also the world.

Global environment protection
In recent years, global warming, environmental pollution, and ecological damage have become more serious. Everyone is the citizen of the world, since the earth is our human beings’ common homeland, we have duty to protect the world’s environment.
The change of climate has brought many kinds of natural disaster Also, people has been spoiling the health since the immense quantity of chemicals have been used in pursuit of convenience and various toxic substances have been produced unintentionally and accumulated in environment. Therefore, we need some countermeasures from the viewpoint to prevent the city environment from disaster. In this case, I would like to donate to a new disaster prevention system to protect the city environment.
Ed1: You are the CEO of a company. You want to do a global health project. How will you talk to your shareholders?
Ed2: 你怎么说服股东投资一个有利于贫困地区的商业项目？
Ed3: 如果你的公司有一个有助于保护环境 climate and global warming 的项目，你怎么去说服 shareholder?

First of all, we need to present the short-term and long-term benefit of this program, which is closely related to the shareholder’s interests, including the return, social prestige and so on. Secondly, if the shareholder has some interest and are willing to know further, I will demonstrate the business plan in detail, like how it functions, and the cost of implement, and predicted return period and the duration of the program.
Thirdly, I would like to tell shareholders my original intention of this program, and the real situation, sincerely hoping them to invest this program and help those people. Since individual get involved in charity may be affected by their own value system or moral obligations.
