Uconn IS 面经 [2020.12.30]

1. Why a Ph.D. in UConn?
2. Introduce one of your research projects.
3. How did you handle multiple projects at the same time?
4. How did you find these research opportunities?
5. Why are you the first author? What did you exactly do?
6. Why did math courses not appear on your transcript?
7. Why did you obtain only 60+ at XXX course?
8. What did you know about the math behind the text mining?
9. Other programs applied? How do you rank our program? If we give you an offer, when can you respond?
10. Any teaching experience?
11. Any question.

暂时只想到了这么多，总共面了 30 分钟多一点，比较尴尬的是我申的 IS, 面试的四个老师里三个是 OM 的，这个项目估计是 ISOM 混着面的。唯一一个 IS 的老师是我 PS 里提到的，除了 coordinator,其他的老师都是 ap,估计 senior professor 没时间搞面试吧。其实有个 trick 我面完才发现，他发 zoom 链接的时候是抄送了所有面试老师的，我当时没注意到。

这一轮面试圣诞节前发的，面试的时候告诉我 early-Jan 就会出结果，最晚不超过 mid-Jan.
