Fordham MSBA 面经 with Jeff McKinney [2019.04.04]

我约的是纽约时间 10:30 am 的 Skype 面试，时长大概 18-20 分钟，时间一到 Jeff 主动开启视频聊天。

最开始会寒暄一下 how are you 什么的，他说今天只有我这一个面试，所以面完就没什么事了。 问问题前先问 ID，之后好像画面就卡着不动了，他说 80% 的 skype 面试都有这个问题，所以主要是听我的回答就好。

1. go through resume
2. 针对其中一段实习进行提问
3. why Gabelli
4. short-term career goal （我同时把long-term的也答了）
5. Which student club in Gabelli you want to join
6. 2 strengths
7. introduce something else about you that will help with the application? 建议把这个问题当做 achievement 说，感觉是很重要的附加题

会针对实习进行追问，可以看出来他很在意实习经历。

以下是 Q&A:

1. how do you like working at Gabelli?
   他说他只是兼职做 Gabelli 的 admissions，他住在 DC，基本不用跑去 NYC，（感觉他是专门负责面试的）然后他说觉得学生都很优秀什么的。
2. which part of the application would you say is more important: grades, work experience, or interview?
   他说都很重要，很多申请人的成绩都很好，实习工作经历丰富，还有面试表现的很 professional.
3. 什么时候会出结果？
   他说这一轮都要等到 5.10.
   我：（觉得很晚）不能早一点吗？
   他说 can't be earlier.

感觉 Jeff 很严肃，问问题基本几个字，说话包括回答都很简洁，感觉要凉凉。

最后附上我整理的 jeff 的面经，希望大家都能去到心仪的学校和喜欢的项目！

寒暄：how is it going 今天过的好吗以及怎么准备的面试？
character, your motivations, and the reasons behind your decisions.

1. go through your resume/ introduce yourself.
   （让我说一下学术背景，实习经历，anything abt me）我讲了我对 mkt 的理解，我的性格是什么，这个性格为什么适合学mkt；以及讲了我的爱好。
2. talk about your internship with experience in data analytics 着重说和career goal 有关的部分学到了什么，对我的 life 有什么影响？
3. talk about your experience in student club/ committee. (类似之前的 group activities)有没有参加跟专业相关的 club.
4. do you have volunteer experience?
5. why Gabelli and Fordham?
6. which student club in Gabelli you want to join/ attend?(Professional Club)（需要具体到商学院的那个社团对 career development 有什么影响）
7. short term career goal 持续时间
8. long term career goal （注意是分开问的两个问题）
9. 想从事多久？但他紧接着又问了一个 5 years?10 years?，然后就直接答了一个 5 years
10. 未来是打算留美还是回国 How long do you want to work in United States?
11. 回答的 career goal 说“sounds like general”，然后让 LZ 说具体的目标公司/目标职位。
    a) 想从事哪个领域，以及在这个领域成功需要具备哪些特质？
    b) 可能会问是什么促成了这个职业规划？
12. two advantages.
13. two disadvantages 三个缺点。
14. do you want to introduce something else about you?
15. what could be the most exciting thing you expected when studying in the US.
16. 讲一件关于 Gabelli 最 exciting 的事情对课程感兴趣，觉得课程设置的很好。
17. 一件关于 Gabelli 最 nervous 的事情。
18. leadership experience.
19. why msba?
20. 你 internship 的 supervisor 怎么评价你？
21. 你觉得自己有什么 area to improve 吗？
22. 你觉得在一个 team 中，你应该怎么表现？你能带给别人什么好处？
