感觉应该没什么人比我晚了吧,其实遇到的题都在之前的题库里了,不过还是记录一下吧~ 两道 oral 90 秒回答(突然发现没有注意到准备多久)和一道 writing 5 min.

  1. Describe a time when you had a conflict with a colleague. How did you handle it? In hindsight, would youhandle it the same way now?
  2. What's the famous destination you want to visitand why? 3.(writing) What is most challenging foryou in graduate school?

want to /look forward to /wish to /desire to

  1. The latest movie you saw, why to see it, do you like it or not? The latest movie I saw is Ready Player One. When the movie hit the big screen this summer, lots of my friends went to see and what I got from them were all favorable comments. Some of them even visited the cinema more than twice just to watch this movie again. Therefore, I became interested and went to see the film myself. I have to say, this is one of the best movies I have ever seen. The theme of the movie is easy to understand. It talks about a world where the settings are in rough shape. However, people don't seem to mind since they can wear a pair of glasses to enter virtual reality to escape the real word. In this virtual world, you can be anyone and do anything, as long as you have the virtual currency to pay for it. Besides, there's something special about this movie. It incorporates all decades of classical movies and games, including things you may have just fallen in love with, such as Overwatch.

  2. What items you can never resist in the restaurant?
I think it is the rice. As a Chinese, rice is more than a staple food in our country. It has been an indispensable part and is considered a source of energy in our daily life. My parents always remind me that if I don’t eat rice, then I will have no strength to work. Also, rice is beneficial for our health. Not only can it prevent cancer and multiple diseases, its richness in fibres and nutrition can also help digestion. Despite all these advantages, my love for rice comes from how it tastes rather than how it works. Rice is really a good companion and you can use it with almost anything as long as you can imagine. For example, egg, meat, cheese, pepper, just to name a few. Maybe someone would argue that rice is too blend to test. However, it is this light taste that makes rice so compatible with most dishes. All in all, though rice may not be the most delicious one, I can never resist in the restaurant.

  3. If you could spend the day shadowing anyone on the job, who would it be and why?
If I could spend the day shadowing anyone on the job, I would choose Jack Ma, the founder and the chairman of Alibaba Group, a multinational technology conglomerate. In actuality, what I'm curious about Jack Ma is not just his business sense or his investment strategy. Frankly speaking, I am rather interested in his leadership qualities, his charisma and how he carries on struggle in spite of all difficulties and challenges he has encountered in life. Ma was a teacher before he went into business, and has never forgotten one thing from that life – that a teacher always wants his students to be more successful than they are. Therefore, I really want to see how he trains his employees and what are the requirements for them. In this way, I can improve myself correspondingly and better prepare for my future career. Besides, Ma is persistent and will always turn his fancy ideas into reality instead of talking widely. If there's a chance, I wish to participant in the meeting between Jack Ma and his business partner, observing how he expresses his ideas and negotiate with others, and how he handles emergent cases.

  4. What new things you are happy to try?
There are lots of things that I want to try. First, I want to take a trip to Northern China. Since I have never been there before, I'm always curious about the lifestyle and the scenery there. Particularly, their eating habits are quite different from ours. While we prefer rice and food with light taste, people in Northern China are fond of food made of flour and with strong taste. If I have a chance, I really wish to personally experience these cultural differences. Second, though unlikely, I desire to hold my own concert. It can be a small scale and only my friends and families will be invited. I enjoy singing a lot, however, I have little chance of showing myself to others. Therefore, if possible, I'd like to sing in front of people, helping them release stresses and enhancing my confidence. Finally, I'm looking forward to learning to bake, since I'm really a dessert lover. I can't imagine how proud and excited I will be, if I can make a delicious and delicate make myself.

  5. Which book do you think every child should read?
In my view, Charlotte's Web is the book that every child should read. There are several reasons why I recommend this book. First, the themes of this book are intense, as it covers everything from growing up, to death, to love. While it may be hard for adults to explain these sophisticated ideas to children, this book manages to show those intense concepts through the relationship of a pig and a girl in a lovely and heartfelt way. Second, the book is rich in advice about friendship. It teaches children the importance of having a really good friend, by showing the beautiful relationship between a girl, a spider, and a pig. These warm and interesting stories may exert a subtle influence on children and help children to get on well with friends or classmates or even parents. Finally, the book is special for its delicate and vivid illustrations inside the pages. These pictures add an element of whimsy to the tale, help keep children engaged and even enhance their imagination. Who doesn’t love a book with pictures? Above all, Charlotte's Web is really a perfect choice for children to read.

  6. 想学做哪个国家的菜
I always want to learn how to make sushi, which is one of the most popular rice dishes in Japan and is also widely enjoyed around the world. The reason I love it so much is that even with only two materials, raw fish and rice, sushi can be served in different shapes and tastes. For example, you can put slices of raw fish onto the top of an oval sushi rice. Or you can roll the rice into a long shape with fish in it, then cut it into several pieces. Or perhaps, you can just mix them together. Sushi may look simple but it is actually quite hard to make, since you can't start over once you start. Most importantly, every step should be accurate and no mistake is allowed. It requires fresh fish sliced to just the right thickness and rice that's packed neither too firmly or loosely. Therefore, it's actually quite difficult for a beginner to learn to make a delicate and delicious sushi.

  7. What is most challenging for you in graduate school.
For me, I think the most challenging things in graduate school will be how to integrate into a foreign environment and how to get accustomed to exotic cultures. Although I have visited foreign countries for many times and I have attended the summer school in United States last summer, it will be the first time that I study and live abroad for more than one year all by myself. I have to learn how to get on well with people from different countries and background and I have to deal with living problems that I may be faced with, and most importantly, I need to develop myself to stand out in the crowd when seeking for jobs. Despite all the challenges and tough problems, I'm looking forward to pursuing my graduate study in the US. I believe my strong mind and rich experience will help me adapt to the new environment quickly. And I'm immensely attracted to the top-notch faculty, well-designed curriculum and diversified student groups offered by the group. It is my conviction that with rigorous education offered by your program, I will realize my career ambition.

  8. a latest book you read, does it live up to your expectation.
The latest book I read is the story in Sahara. It is written by San Mao, a Chinese woman writer. The book, like its name, talks about the routine life of San Mao and her husband's when living in Sahara Desert. They abandoned the bustling city life to come to the arid desert, only to find that the condition was worse than they had expected. There was sand and storm everywhere, and there was even a shortage of water and life supplies. However, all these couldn't stop their enthusiasm for Sahara. When reading the book, I could totally understand why they fell in love with this desert and sometimes I felt like I was there with them, experiencing the exotic cultures and appreciating splendid scenery in Sahara myself. Besides, I was deeply touched by the passion and bravery of San Mao and those warm details in her daily life. Therefore, this book really lives up to my expectation and impresses me a lot.
