About the Speaker
Mario Berta
Professor Mario Berta is the Founder and CEO of FlySpaces.com, a tech-start up that empowers SMEs to get access to flexible office and retail space. He also works as senior consultant in the PLDT Group (Philippines largest telecom) and various conglomerates. He consults about innovation, digital transformation, sales and start-up culture. Formerly Nova Founders director for growth, a tech incubator and VC firm that boasts among its investors Richard Li (among HK’s richest tycoons) and Asia Regional Co-Founder of Rocket Internet's Easy Taxi. Mario is passionate about empowering and enabling people, developing businesses, and supporting companies and institutions across the world.
He has built, managed and trained successful sales teams in Africa and in the APAC region, including Papua New Guinea, Macau, Angola, Nigeria, Philippines, Malaysia and Hong Kong.
His areas of expertise include: Start-ups, IT / E-commerce, Mobile Payments, Social Media, Telecoms, Advertisement, Business Development / Sales, Training and Coaching. He holds a Masters from University of Turin and is an Associate Professor at IE Business School.
