Quantitive easing:is an expansionary monetary policy whereby a central bank buys predetermined amounts of government bonds or other financial assets in order to stimulate the economy. It is usually used when standard monetary policy has become ineffective at combating too low inflation or deflation.
Tax incidence: is an economic term for the division of a tax burden between buyers and sellers. Tax incidence is related to the price elasticity of supply and demand, and when supply is more elastic than demand, the tax burden falls on the buyers.
Monopoly:
Entry barrier: is a cost that must be incurred by a new entrant into amarket that incumbents do not have or have not had to incur.
Strategy. (how to assess a company’s strategy)
CPI: consumer price index ( CPI ) is a macroeconomic indicator that reflects the changes in the level of goods price purchased by households. It is a relative measure of the price level of a representative set of goods and services over time.
Price discrimination: is a microeconomic pricing strategy where identical or largely similar goods or services are transacted at different prices by the same provider in different markets. It relies on the variation in the customers' willingness to pay[2][3][4] and in the elasticity of their demand.
Competitive advantage&Comparative advantage.
How to say a company has “market power”?
Some people think domestically oriented companies' market share and profits cannot be affected on exchange rate fluctuation. Do you agree and why.
What is the variety of market structure?
Difference between sell side and buy side.
Should British banks raise interest rates? What do you think of the low interest rates in the UK?
What do you think of British apparel companies to invest in China?
How to evaluate a firm’s strategy?
