VO: so.....you will study master in ** university?
ME: yes. This program has very good courses that match my career gaol.
VO: do you have any materials from the school?
ME: sure. I have the admission letter with ME. （递材料） This program has a very strong focus on investMEnt, and I want to be an equity analyst, so it is a good match for me.
VO看材料。
VO:（略皱眉头）......I understand that a master in finance might help, but.......
ME:（见他没有“but”出来，赶紧接上他的话。）sir, a master program is a very necessary step in my career path. As you can see in these job ads （边说边递一叠基金公司的招聘信息），a master degree is a must for an equity analyst position. If I want to be an eligible candidate, I have to study further. I highlighted the important parts....
VO接过材料，然后说了一句我很晕倒的话：
VO: yes you highlighted those parts but they are in Chinese, I cannot read them. sorry. 说着把材料递回给我。
（其实我只划出了所有招聘信息中的“行业分析师”和“硕士或硕士以上”这几个字。字应该不难认。 ）
ME: （强作镇定，对他抱歉的笑笑）接下来他说了一句话我也没有听清楚，然后他开始看电脑。我觉得一定要说点什么了，所以又拿起那一叠资料，翻到最后一页，竖立起来隔着玻璃给他看：As you can also see in the last page, all my colleagues who are doing investMEnt and research are coming from excellent universities with either a master or a Ph.D degree （边说边引导他看我们部门同事的信息，用手指着那一长串“硕士学历”“博士学历”。这个时候他看的比较认真了）If I want to compete with them, I must study.
VO看着我，想了想，开始打电脑。
ME: sir, a mater program is the way i should go.
此时意想不到的事情发生了，他说：I will approve your visa Miss **, go to the China Post Counter and let them process the delivery issue. 说着蓝条就出来了。
ME: Thank you!!
转过来好高兴啊！资金居然没有问，归国计划也没有问，就纠缠了一下"读书的必然性"这一点就放我过去了。但是无论如何，准备充分才是对的，因为良好的状态来源于充分的准备。
