6/8下午2点的。等了半天发现中文电码忘了写，被敲20元——提醒网上填表人士！！！好容易搞完，发现已经是倒数第三队，结果按手印的时候活生生变成了最后一队（我怀疑是我老婆和那个管事的利害的女同志顶嘴导致，呵呵）。总而言之轮到我们已经下午5点左右。我们是第一个。
三十多岁女的签证官，非常疲惫的样子，看我的材料前狠狠地打了个哈欠。看她签前边那队似乎不是很水，有时候还有点不友好。我和老婆被叫上去，下边是对话：
VO: Hello, how are you?
我: Good. How are you doing?
VO: Oh, well, I'm here... (显然是消极怠工）
（VO然后就开始翻材料。我们没准备什么，签证几十问也没特别看过。在美国读过工程硕士，然后工作了三年，这次回来又签学生签证读MBA。过去6年间签过11个美国签证，所以我一点也不紧张。老婆说万一问你上次读完书怎么没回去怎么办。我说肯定没事儿，但是还是胡乱准备了两句，没想到真用上了……）
VO: So you had been in the US for almost 6 years. What did you do?（语气充满了质疑）
我：I went to the States in 2000 to pursue higher education. After I got my master’s degree, I found a job as a Systems Engineer. I took this opportunity to further improve my English and apply what I learned in the school.
VO: You never came back…
我：I did. (抓住VO逻辑里的漏洞)
VO: You came back only to get another visa! （这时候VO的态度已经很挑衅了）
我：（啥都没说）
VO: So what’s you plan after the MBA?
我：I will come back to China to join … (此处略去)
VO: We have a big problem here. Last time we sent you off to study, you didn’t come back. Why should I believe you this time? （VO或者是故意吓唬我，或者真的觉得这是个大问题，此时她的语调和姿态都像是已经不想给我签证的样子）
我：（我的心跳骤然加快，但是并不慌张，因为我打心底里不觉得她会拒我）I can certainly understand your concern. But this time the situation is totally different. （VO正在低头整理资料，听到这句话抬头皱眉看着我，脸上一脸惊讶与疑惑，就好像我说了什么惊天动地的蠢话似的，我没理她，接着说）This time I will get a degree in business, and I intend to develop my career in management. I truly believe I have a much better chance in China. I don’t see myself going all the way to the top in a US company, because of the culture and language barrier. On the other hand, I think it’s definitely possible here in China…（我开始说车轱辘话，VO似乎已经不愿意听了，但是还礼貌的等我说完）
VO: OK. （开始看我老婆的材料）Will you work or study?
老婆：No.
VO: Then your life won’t be busy at all. What will you do all day?
老婆：（微笑）I will take care of him. （拍拍我的肩膀）
VO: （摇头）That doesn’t sound like busy to me.
我：（笑）Believe it or not, taking care of me is a full-time job.
VO: （似乎还想说什么，但是估计想到了“清官难断家务事”的古训，于是shut up）OK。（撕蓝条）I hope you follow through with what you said.
我：I will. Thank you so much!
我后面一位读Columbia MPA的mm（还是本科校友）几秒钟就过了，其他多数也过了，不过的好像尽是商务考察的。一大队红领巾也过了。
VO根本没看我的其他材料，也没有问任何关于钱的问题（60%贷款，只有一年的钱），这就是我为什么觉得她从一开始可能就没打算不给过，只是想吓唬吓唬我，看看我会不会说些自投罗网的话。但我老婆觉得她还是有可能真的被我们给说服了。我也不知道。我的一点经验就是一定要理直气壮，一定要和VO平等交流。
