Me: Yes, in 2000.
VO: Why do you want to pursue an MBA in the U.S.
Me: I want to be an asset manager in an asset management company here in China. Asset management is still a new concept in China and quite few trainings are offered here. So the best way for me is to learn from foreign experiences. An MBA degree will not only give the chance to enhance finance knowledge, but also will help me build a strong network in Chinese financial area.
VO: you have a good job now
Me: But I will have an even better one after I come back from the US with a top-MBA degree.
VO: who will pay your education?
Me: My husband and myself (给她看了我的工资证明和老公的雇佣合同。她找不到合同中工资在哪？最后发现是付欧元，问老公是哪国人？我说中国，这个时候感觉她表情有异常。难道中国人的工资不可以是外币？)
VO: Can I see your bank certificate?
Me: sure
（她开始有点不悦，因为我没有提供一个资产的合计表给她看，看来这是个巨大的失误。而我的财产属于零零碎碎很多笔, 招商银行开出了3页纸，其中还有两笔日元。）
VO: what kind of currency is this?
Me: Japanese Yen.
VO: why is it in Japanese Yen
Me: That is part of my investment. I frequently conduct trading in foreign exchange market. It was in Euros and in Dollars before. It happened to be Japanese Yen when I ordered this bank certificate.
VO: what is the exchange rate?
Me: 1 dollar= about 112 Japanese Yen
VO: What is the total amount of these certificates？?
ME: about 79000 us dollars
VO: again?
ME: about 79000 us dollars
VO: Sorry, it is not enough to cover Two-year expenses in the U.S.
（不是说自己只要有一年的，然后加贷款么？我的钱加贷款刚好够2年啊）
Me: I will also apply for the loan provided by the school. Here is the letter from school.
VO: but it just shows that you are eligible to apply for a loan. It does not mean you have got the money.
Me: But this is guaranteed loan.
VO: You are qualified, but I can not give you the visa today（这句话丝毫都不合理，我差点没晕倒）. I can not verify the total amount of your bank certificate because I do not know the exchange rate. I urge you to go to the bank to get more financial statement to prove you have enough money. And contact your school to get the loan done first.
ME: But it is easy to check the exchange rate and I have more than enough money to cover the first year expense. I will apply for the loan in the 2nd year.
VO: you are encouraged to reapply. I have made my decision.
ME: Ok, thank you.
