It is my first time to apply for visa and still cannot believe that I get it so successfully. Here is my experience for your reference
My visa application experience:
Arrived at 12:20, entered at 12:30 and waited for about 3 hours before started my interview. The guy interviewed my is the old bald man who is called boss by those security guards.
M: Good afternoon
V: U worked for XXX company?
M: Yeah.
V: When did u join it?
M: Last Dec. before that I worked for XXXX
V: what company?
M: XXXX
V: What do your parents do?
M: My father is an engineer on XXXX, my mother retired, used to be an accountant.
V: Where does your father work?
M: Work for XXXX and mainly perform XXXXX
V: You have relatives in US?
M: Yeah my sister is now visiting her husband in US
V: he worked in US?
M: Yeah, work for XXXX.
V: U will study MBA? Have u ever studied business in college?
M: Yeah, do u wanna c my transcript?
V: yes.
After reviewing the transcript, pointing the I-20, he said you will finance your study by yourself for $XXXXX,
M: Yeah, it is all my own saving. Do you want to c my financial statement?
V: yeah.
Handed it to him.
M: I drafted a rough calculation of my net income, would you like to c it?
V: Yeah.
Handed it to him, he reviewed it.
M: Would you like to c my salary package?
V: No, don’t need. ( I explained the net income calculation to him and he challenged that I did not deduct the living expense, but I pointed out that I have, then he agreed)
V: Your parents are now in China?
M: Yeah, after visiting my sister, they just came back.
V: what will you do after your graduation?
M: I will come back to XXX industry, for it is quite profitable. And quite possibly rejoin XXX, for reasons……..
V: how much do they pay you?
M: RMB XXXX.
Then the officer picked up a green ticket and I know I passed, coz that ticket is only given those who pass the interview.
M: Thank you!
Feeling:
The officer pays much attention to financing and work intention after graduation. Please be prepared for questions related to these two aspects. The percentage of passing is quite high now! Wish all of you a good luck.
