今天最大的成功在于克服紧张，并且自信地把自己最优秀的一面展现出来。等待的时候是最紧张的。签证大厅里，大部分人面无表情，但可以感觉到各自的忐忑不安。我忽然想起自己的夹子里有相册, 忍不住拿出来翻看。里面大部分是我和先生10多年来的合影，想到先生就在外面默默支持我，心中安定不少。
我的号码闪出来了，拿起东西，大踏步走过去。
(A: 签证官，S: SmileFM)
S: Good morning.
A: Good morning. What will you do in US?
S: I will have two year MBA program at Wharton. My concentration is in general management.
A: Why do you want a MBA in US?
(还很紧张，只隐隐听到一个MBA, US, 就开始发挥了)
S: I want to learn …
(一点想不起来自己在说什么)
A: What ‘s your current job?
S: I am a …. My company’s target is to provide the best service to big corporation in China,. Our customer includes … For example, in the next week, Wharton will have its global alumni forum in Shanghai, and I will help to ….
(她突然插了句)
A: wow, that’s great. What’s the position of Wharton in USNews ranking?
(没听清，我赶紧问了句)
S: Pardon?
A: What’s the position of Wharton in US news ranking?
S: Ah, the Third.
(心里没把握，但还是坚定的说了出来)
A: ok. Continue.
(我一下子愣了，刚才我回答什么来着)
S: pardon?
A: Continue.
S: Sorry. I may be a little nervous. What is the question?
A: No need to be nervous. I ask you what’s the job in your company.
S: Ok. My job mainly focus on … And I am taking charge of …
(心情慢慢平静下来，开始知道自己要回答什么了)
A: How many school have you applied?
S: Seven. And I’m admitted by six.
A: What’s it?
S: Duke, …. Do you need to see those admission letters?
(她摆摆手，拒绝了)
A: How did you select those schools?
S: They are all very good Bschools. Some are recommended by my friends or alumni. Some are strong in the general management. For example, Wharton is very strong in general management. I will learn the finance and strategy to help grow up a company. Know a group of intelligent people. In the next week, as a newly admitted student, I will attend Wharton global alumni forum and have opportunity to access a lot of business leader from domestic and international.
A: Wharton is an expensive program, how do you support your study?
S: I will afford 70% of the cost by my own savings. And the remaining will be provided by my father and my husband.
A: what’s your salary?
S: Monthly …. (这个数字不高，我赶紧接着补充)。I have worked for nine years. Before current job, I have worked in XXX for eight years.
A: What’s your job in XXX?
S: The last position I held was a … manager. I supervised a group of .. people and manage a business with US$ …million contract annually. My annual income was … in XXX. Do you need to see the bank certificate.
A: Ok.
(我把银行证明和存折一起递进去，她主要看了下存折，还给我)
A: Will you come back to China?
S: Yes. I have two plans. One is to come back to my current company. To use the knowledge I learned at Wharton in my company.
A: Do you have support letter from your current company?
S: No. I don’t have. (镇定的) It’s a small company and my partner is my friend. We have a private agreement.
S: My second plan is to join a MNC in China to help them explore the new market or expand the existing market in telecom industry in China. I want to handle an independent part and play my impact in the company.
A: You are married?
S: Yes.
A: Will you husband come with you?
S: currently he won’t. But he will visit me as far as he has vacation. We knew each other in the university for over 10 years and we married for .. years. (心中有种甜蜜的感觉)
A: what’s his job?
S: He is a senior engineer in …
A: Will he give up his current job?
S: No. He has a good development opportunity in his company. And he already had stock options.
A: Excellent. Seems you are well-prepared.

整个过程据小牛说大概５分钟。开始１分钟，我还是紧张的，到后来我感觉自己发挥越来越好。我碰到得那个签证官是个金发的瘦瘦的女的，问题相对算多的，小牛跟她说了足足１０分钟。当时总共开了５个窗口，３个女的，有一个胖胖的女的，放人很快，3 分钟不到一个。还有２个男签证官，看上去也很nice. 确实都是很漂亮养眼的。
