I hand in my bank book and my salary record, husband's salary record and bank deposit certificate (DEC). Explained that, the salary letters are from xxx (outside China). Our HR center is centralized in xxx for low cost. (smiling) Since in my bank book, there are only a few money, most are in my husband's account. I don't have DEC of my own account. The 2 DEC are for my husband's account. So I explained: my husband is talented in investment in stock market, when we agreed on it's a right to invest, I will transfer my money to his. Now we have xxx in stock market now.
VO: Do you have house?
M: No, but my husband's family has. We live with my parents since I am the only one kid of my parents. They need me to take care of. They are not in good condition.
VO: Have you been to US:
M: No, but I have been to Singapore and Malaysia for business trip. To Malaysia is for regional fleet meeting, to singapore is the professional training. Pls take a look at my photo?
Vo: ok.
VO: your letter from the school?
VO: You got scholarship?
M: yes, I got xxx scholarship and xxx assistantship totally xxx/year I will be a graduate assistant in MSU.
Then VO asked me to wait for result at another corner of the visa hall. He did not tell me what/who will investigate on me. But sure, VO do not make the investigations. I have checked the people on DS form are not called. I guessed they check the computer system on school.
VO did not check any academic record including G&T.
After VO interviewed 2 people, he called me back. Ask one more question: what does your study help your job? Preparing for doc, keying in computer,
M: My concentration is xxx, as you know, in china, there are very few experts in this area. After my graduation, I will be the expert in this area. I will work in companies such as xxx, our current working partner who's customers are xxx,xxx,xxx.
VO: everything sounds good.
Then take out yellow card.
I can say, all case that I witness, are investigated. No exception. If you are lucky, you just need to wait for 10 mins, if not, get the blue card which means further and longer investigations.
Luck has occupied a big proportion as what I said before. Believe I am extremely lucky.
Confidence is the second most important. Well dressed up and moderate tone and gesture can show you confidence and professional. Agreed with ZGS that 什么穿着都有. My friend and I are very special in the visa hall. He wears tie and shirt with pants, a little bright and sharp hair. About 30 people in the visa hall. As I know, not many people got F1. Besides us, one guy pursue PHD and passed.
Keep smiling. And find opportunity to talk with relaxation. Give them opportunity to smile.
Better to have interview on Fri. and better interview earlier. Next Mon. they will have a holiday. I think they are in good mood. Currently, few people apply F1. Try earlier. Not wait until June except you have to.
