[已录] 哥大 ERM 面经 with Vanessa Carrillo [2019.04.04]

这个文档是楼主 2019.2.25 实习无聊的时候整理的（几乎涵盖此时间点前的全部），不包含之后的新题，大家可以看帖子的新旧补充题目。

一、zoom 的使用

用自己的申请邮箱注册并激活 zoom 账号。（最好电脑下软件）
到了约定时段提前点入 interview invitation 上的链接，网站会自动跳转到软件里。
keep online，等待面试官进入房间。

二、面试感受

LZ 是由 Vanessa Carrillo 面的，感觉 Jay 面得比较多。

Vanessa 是一位带有职业微笑的年轻小姐姐，面部表情不会很丰富，也没有强烈的聊天欲望（时间关系基本不会像聊天那样跟着你的回答追问），会稍稍给你一些鼓励性的反馈。我总共 5 题（3个新题）8 分钟左右，面完感觉互动不多，V 姐也比较冷漠，以为她对我不是很满意……没想到 4.2 晚的 interview，4.4 早晨就来了 ad，还没有语言班。所以，V 姐就是面冷心热，自信微笑，正常表达就好，不用太过担心哦。

三、BG & Timeline

BG：普通一本，T 107; G 690; GPA(WES) 3.87; 3 实习

Timeline：

1.30 递交
3.28 收到面试
4.02 完成面试
4.04 拿到 offer

CU ERM —— zoom interview

5-10 mins, 5-8 questions

准备白纸和马克笔，把自己的名字/nick name 用笔写在白纸板上。

Introduction

To start, what about telling me something that I don't know about you, something not in your resume or essays.
Why major, career goals, courses.
Why ERM?你什么时候开始发现自己对 ERM 这个领域的项目感兴趣的？
If not ERM, what is your career path?
Plan for 5 years. Dream company.
ERM 的课既包含 technical skill 也有 communication skill，哪种对你比较重要？
哥大的课程会有很多 presentation，会觉得 comfortable 去 evaluate 吗？
What are your academic strengths?
What are your academic shortcomings?

Experience, specific problems

在闲暇时会做什么。
如果我到中国旅游会推荐什么地方？
介绍家乡特色。
有没有去过纽约，觉得生活在纽约会是什么样？
3 strengths.What are the 3 words that your friend would use to describe you?
你有什么精神使你能够在风险控制领域获得成功？
To be a good leader 的品质。
在大学最喜欢的课程是什么，为什么？
最不喜欢的大学课程？
If you wanted a change on yourself, what would it be?
你不喜欢在团队中遇见哪种人？
Leadership experience.
你觉得挑战性的一个 group project，你学到了什么？
你喜欢合作还是单独工作?
How do you define "success"?
What is a challenge you encounter in your professional life?
What is your approach to tackle a task?
Columbia has a strict policy against cheating, if you found out someone in your team was illegally copying things from the internet, what would you do?

English

认为你的英语对 professional 的学习有问题吗？Do you think your professional English can support you to do your future work in big companies, such as Fortune 500?
你对使用英语作为日常语言 comfortable 吗？
有没有在与 English speaker 沟通的过程中出现问题？
What languages do you speak?
