先说一下自己的背景：英本统计类专业，大一大二GPA不高，院校综排还可以。2019年毕业，希望靠大三的努力把GPA拉上去，争取1st class。
研究生项目主要就申了伦敦几所高校的金融数学或者量化类专业，和其他几所还可以的商学院。IC的IWM也申了，感觉和大部分大神相比自己的GPA一定是拉了后腿的，也就课外的一些业内实习还可以，所以对这个项目没有抱太大的希望，虽然内心还是很向往的。
大概一月25号收到了面试通知，自己准备了三天左右，在DDL一天交了面试。感觉CD论坛上的往年面经已经很足够了，口语部分基本上都在前几年的题目范围内。
面试一共6个题目，包括第一题是自我介绍，要拿着government-issued ID保持20s，15s准备1min作答。其余四道口语都是30s准备1min作答。楼主考到的written部分大概是在一次networking上遇见了这个项目的校友，自己会如何自我介绍以及start a conversation。口语部分题目记不太清楚了，大概类似于课外的团队合作之类的题目，专业类的问题是innovation in finance会对average investors产生影响吗。自己准备对时候基本搜集了CD上见过的大部分题目，但还是要说一句真的面试的时候时间真来不及，一分钟回答感觉很仓促，特别是写作，没写多少字就自动提交了，凉凉。
不管结果如何，面完试也算完成了自己的小心愿。攒个RP把自己的口语整理发在下面，希望能够帮到后面面试的同学。
1. 自我介绍
Tell us about your greatest strength. How have you developed this strength and how it helped you succeed? 你的朋友会怎样介绍你？ / 你有什么特质让你从人群中脱颖而出？ / IC第一堂课，你怎样介绍你自己，你最希望他们知道你的哪一方面？在课外你喜欢干什么？ / 为什么人们要有学习之外的爱好，characters that make you highly employable/ which of your personal attributes are most important to achieving success.
Tell me about an interest or hobby that you have pursed to a high level. 将来的career goal，为此做了什么准备？/ Which area of the financial sector are you most interested in working in, and why? / Personal ambition outside career; What factors contributed to your decision to apply for a seat in this programme? Tell us about your top three / 为什么选择IC; What motivate you to succeed, and why? How do you define success in your career and how to measure your progress?
What advice do you wish someone had given you before you started your undergraduate degree?
You meet a recruiter for a company that you would like to work for at career fair. How would you make sure they remember who you are? How would you differentiate yourself from others?
2. 个人经历/面对困难，面对失败，如何去做
困难情况下的achievement / achievement outside class / 一个课外团队合作你make difference你做了什么？ / 描述一个achievement / biggest achievement and challenge / the biggest risk, outside academy / 在工作学习之外你遇到的挑战 / 你做的adventurous thing out of study; 一个hurdle project遇到的最大的challenge。
Give an example under a difficult circumstance and what motivates you keep going? / 遇到的setback如何handle？ / Describe a challenge and how you meet the challenge / 讲讲fail to achieve a goal 的经历，当时做了什么 ？/ Describe a difficulty you overcame, what made you through?
一次high level of drive to achieve a goal的经历，how to motivate your team member? / 怎么motivate自己完成一个project？How do you achieve a long term goal?
3. Motivation Teamwork
Motivate my team under stress / motivate a team member who is struggling; An experience of leading project with tight deadline, how did you motivate your teammates / You are leading a project which is running out of funds. How would you convince an investor to commit more resources to the project? A project you work hard that benefit others.
A role in the new team / 如果一个新的队员来到你们团队，你会怎么办？如果你和队里的leader意见不合，你会怎么做？ / How to discuss a disagreement with your teammates without harming your relationship; Please tell me about an experience where you led a team that consisted of a group of very different individuals. What did you do to lead the team to accomplish the objective, and what was the outcome? / 你如何convince你队伍里的大部分人去做一件事？
Contribute to community经历，从中学到了什么？
4. 金融相关，时事话题
Financial news / tell a recent interesting financial news / 最有价值的金融新闻来源；苹果谷歌应不应该多交税；Buy side and sell side; 科技如何影响了金融 / do you think the tech development in financial fields will benefit investor? How do you ensure that you are up to date with the financial news; financial crisis 2008的impact; recommend a company for investment, why; 怎么劝一个没有finance头脑的朋友为退休投资; Brexit voting对英国金融的影响; 了解宏观经济重要吗? If you were given 1000 to invest today, where would you chose to invest it? What factors would influence your choice? Why do you believe people invest in hedge funds, which generally charge higher fees than mutual funds?
