A 2004 student told me it is necessary to have a co-signer, even if you are a landed immigrant.

It depends on the loans you apply. I remember that co-signer is not needed for the Federal and Ontario Loan.

Just 20 minutes and paper based. No length limit. But I am not sure if it is just me getting the essay thing. Good luck
