1st round, at the lounge of a 5 star hotel in Taipei, interviewer is a Stanford undergraduate and MBA, a very typical Stanford guy, smart, easy-going and humorous.
Question:
- Introduce yourself
- A book you recently read, what did you learn from it?
- What’s your pastime and why?
- A time when you brought change to an organization
- Why MBA? Why Stanford?
- The most challenging event you ever encountered and what did you learned from it.
- Ethic dilemma: a time when your personal interest conflicted with public or company’s interest
- Talk about one of your career transition
The interview is 45 minutes sharp, the next 15 minutes is for you to ask him questions. The whole interview is one hour exactly.
The interview is very causal and relaxing, like a normal conversation. But a lot of following questions, therefore, important thing is to think over your past experience and summarized them systematically.
That’s it, hope this is helpful to other Stanford applicants.
