HKU MBA is an intensive 14-month programme conducted in partnership with London / Columbia Business School. After completing the core courses at HKU, students will travel to London or New York to study electives along with the MBA/EMBA students of these schools. The unique partnerships with world-renowned business schools such as London Business School and Columbia Business School provide our students unmatched opportunities in terms of educational experience and networking. London and New York both are world-class cities and offer a great environment for business education along with international exposure for our students.
HKU MBA thoroughly adopts an experiential-learning approach with extensive use of business cases. Business cases train our students to become effective problem-solvers and decision-makers in rapidly changing business settings.
In the latest World MBA Rankings released by the EIU (Economist Intelligence Unit), HKU MBA Programme is ranked No.1 in Asia. Although the full-time MBA programme at HKU has a relatively young history, the Faculty of Business and Economics has demonstrated impressive results in world rankings. Since entering The Economist Ranking in 2003, the HKU MBA has climbed to become one of the top 50 programmes in the world. In 2010, it ranks 48th among the world's Top 100. The HKU MBA is ranked 11th in the world in personal development and educational experience overall with special strength in education experience (3rd rank). Other areas such as student assessment of career service, increase in salary and potential to network also received high ratings.
HKU was ranked no.1 in Asia and 21st in the world in the 2010-11 Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings. In the Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings 2010, HKU was ranked no.1 in Asia and 23rd in the world.
