in Chicago Booth MBA [2012-03-23]+总结的一些MBA申请小tips

背景：美本, 经济, 男, GPA低, GMAT 770/6.0, 2.5yrs 500强战略/并购。毕业后想做energy ibd (传统或新能源） -> vc/pe或政府

以下是我总结的一些申请tips：

1. GPA低的话GMAT当然是越高越好，数学最好满分。 Consulting/investment banking背景的话标准略低一些，学校知道你成天累死累活没有时间复习
2. 如果推荐人是所申请的学校校友的话会大大加分 （我一推荐人就是booth毕业）
3. 如果和推荐人关系好的话就顺便让他们修改一下essay吧，这样他们会更加了解你的ST/LT goals
4. 申请过程中可以尝试联系学校的俱乐部的主席 （我就约energy club的president聊了半小时，然后essay里写到了此次对话）
5. 工龄短的career path一定要明确, in other words - you must know and sell your STORY
6. 心态很重要，漫长等待过程中可以去发觉一些新爱好，多陪陪家人爱人
7. 最后，match是需要两厢情愿
