i don\'t think they provide interview in mainland. i asked the associate dean who is in charge of admissions in the mba tour fair and he told me that no such chances. i did not get an interview. they just sent me an email saying that due to the large no. of applicants for interview in hk and the shortage of interviewers, they just waived my interview. i asked the dean if this is a bad news, he just did not answer directly but saying that an interview is very important and if you can, just try to secure one. btw, i applied during the first round and now am waiting for the result which is due to be released next week. good luck to all of us!

When did you request for an interview during the MBA Tour? I know someone who got the interview when Duke admissions officer travelled to Hong Kong in Sep, and I believe interview slots were available at other locations during the MBA Tour. Did you request an interview earlier enough?

I applied for the interview together with my application before the first deadline which was on Oct. 17th. when the school mailed me saying that i am waived an interview, i wrote back immediately to request an interview in beijing but was told that they don\'t offer interviews in bj and that\'s it. I didn\'t request interview in other locations, cuz even for HK, I think I can just try to contact the interview to know if she/he could give me a phone interview. Anyway, it is all past tense.
Starting from tomorrow, the Fuqua School of Business will release the result. What I can do now is just pray...

I have a few words of wisdom to share with future applicants. Please start early in the process and request interviews ahead of time. Duke will aceept your off-campus interview requests even before you submit your applications. Check the MBA tour event and see which cities Duke will be visiting and request interview preferaably 4 weeks ahead of the events. For 2003, MBA Tour travelled around Asia cities in September. The event might take place around the same time next year... Plan ahead and you should have more chances of securing an interview.

不太清楚别的地方的interview,但是on-campus的interview很tough,大家不要小看。而且去学校看了一下，觉得女生还是挺多的，这个学校比较小，更像是一个lab,学生parking据说不太方便。当然它的学习气氛很浓，给人的感觉挺紧张，当然了，这只是我的感觉。当地人很nice.
