Manchester Business School China Centre would like to invite you to the Professor Talk, during the event, communications trainer Larry Schuster will share a few secrets of how business leaders and organizations have used "Leadership Stories" to effect change, improve performance, communicate who they are, and to create a new future.

About Speaker

Mr. Larry Schuster has been a communications professional (and storyteller) for more than 25 years, as a science, technology and medical news journalist in the United States, international business development manager for a Shanghai-based Chinese pharmaceutical company, and now corporate communications trainer, coach and partner at Crescendo Communications Consulting.

He has given different presentations on public speaking, persuasive written communications and given engaging presentations about l eadership storytelling and the critical importance of communications for managers., Mr. Schuster was invited by MBS China Centre to run a career workshop for MBS students and alumni sharing most updated skills with these future business leaders.

---- How Social Media Changes Marketing Communication by Prof. Elaine Ferneley

With the rapid development of social media technology, an increasing amount of multi-national companies and local businesses around the global have integrated social media as an effective communication tool into marketing strategies. There is no doubt that social media is turning out to be a high-valued approach in marketing communication. Marketing professionals have already found social media an ideal channel to generate two-way conversation with target audience.

Manchester Business School would like to invite you to join the Professor Talk. During the session, Prof. Elaine Ferneley is going to share the insights in the significance of social media which effects marketing communications with most updated theories and cases in real business world.

About Speaker

 

Prof. Elaine Ferneley is the MBA & MPA Director at Manchester Business School. She is also a member of the EPSRC Advisory Board for the UK Digital Economy.
Prof Ferneley's research interests focus on the socio-technical implications of advanced ICT utilization within the areas of social network technologies, mobile computing, collaborative working, information systems design and knowledge management.
Her consultancy work focuses on how ICTs such as social networking technologies and mobile technologies shape and are shaped by working practices in knowledge intensive organizations within the domains of the emergency services, energy and chemical companies and the construction industry.

Her contribution to the transfer of academic research into industry has been recognized by the UK Government as, in 2006 Professor Ferneley was invited to join the UK Governments EPSRC Research Councils Advisory Board.
