语法笔记

谓语动词就近原则的搭配：or, either...or..., neither...nor...., not only..., but also...
Not only位于句首时，其引导的分句要倒装。
Each和every放在主语前，主语用单数。（Each作同位语以及Each of+S.时，主语无限制，如They each...）
句子主干是什么，主动词就应该相对应，doing做伴随状语修饰名词表达的是辅助含义。
Even as...是“正当、恰好”的意思，有点儿at the same time的感觉。
One’s doing sth. 不如sb. do sth. 有效，无特殊情况一般不用。
More用作副词时可以表示程度，用作形容词则表示数量多少；greater用作形容词表示数量（a greater number of...）或程度。
Although后一定接完整句子，没有although doing的说法。
X will do sth. only if Y does sth. Else. 只有当Y怎么样，X才会怎么样。
Without A or B，一定是or，因为without有否定含义。
Encourage sb. to do sth. and thereby (to) do sth. 后面的to是可以省略的。
A is doing sth. and doing sth. 后面可以省略be动词；但是A continues to do sth. and to do sth. 后面的to是不可以省的。
If引导从句用被动语态，则主句也要用被动语态；反之亦然。
Sb. has more than twice as A as sb. has B. A>2B = A is (are) more than twice as many as B.
Attempt to do sth./attempt sth./an attempt at (doing) sth./an attempt to do sth.
Therefore是个副词，因此不能引导一个句子。
Sth’s/sb’s abibity to do sth.（最佳结构）/ability of sb. to do sth. 一般不用sb’s capability to do，比较wordy，可以用be able to do或者be capable of doing sth.代替。
Require sb to do sth./ require (of sb) that + 虚拟语气，should可以省去。
Prohibit sth./from doing sth./sb. from doing sth. 没有prohibit sb from sth.也没有prohibit that...
According to是按照、根据的意思，in accordance with是与什么一致的意思。
But for A/If it were not A/If it had not been for A/Were it not for A/Without A, S should/would/could/might have done sth.或者do sth.虚拟条件句，看是否与过去事实相反，再决定用现在完成时或者过去时。
Just as A do sth., so B do sth.一定要加SO！
A do sth. as well as doing sth.
A have/has done sth. while doing sth. 这个结构是ok的，另外还有A is doing x while doing y。
With the intent of doing sth.以及with the intention of doing sth.
Be known to do和be known to have done，前者动作同时发生，后者动作已发生。
27.D ate to...ago，追溯到多少年前；Date at...old，有多少年之久。
Compared to/with在GMAT都可以视作与什么相比较，且只能用被动形式，sth be compared to。
