最近有接触到一些从国内来的同学咨询有关Cornell Tech MBA program, lz自己也是在chase得到的Cornell的1年program信息然后最后来了Cornell Tech，所以开个贴也算小小回报一下论坛。
Cornell有两个1年的programs, 一个叫Accelerated MBA (AMBA), 属于传统MBA program，但是学制更短。另一个是Cornell Tech MBA，专注于科技行业，以及传统行业与科技结合，主要就业方向是hi-tech或者传统行业数字产品的product manager，以及entrepreneurship。两个program每年5月份同时开学，夏天在ithaca一起上课，然后8月份Cornell Tech MBA会搬到纽约一直到第二年5月毕业。
Cornell Tech （http://tech.cornell.edu/）是2012年Cornell在纽约市建的一个新campus，目前包括四个programs: MBA, MEng(CS), HealthTech, Connected Media，明年会增加一个LLM in law, technology and entrepreneurship. 这个campus是前纽约市长Bloomberg推动的数字城市计划的一部分，现在临时的campus在Google的纽约office里，同时Cornell拿到了曼哈顿东边的罗斯福岛的地皮建新campus，2017年第一批入驻。MBA项目我这届是第二年，我本人是第一个来自中国大陆的学生。总体来说这个项目比较US focus，对于想留美工作又对tech感兴趣的同学非常适合。另外就是整个campus的创业氛围很浓，很多课程也围绕entrepreneurship设计，每个学生都必须加入一个startup team，毕业前会有一个competition，优胜的teams会得到一笔seed fund以及1年的免费coworking space。
1.我想问下cornell tech，是否只接受理科生申请呢？我个人是文科背景。
不是必须的，但是需要能够证明你是适合这个项目的。从网站上摘下来的一小段：
Should I apply？
Ideal MBA candidates have a deep interest and connection to the tech industry as well as a strong academic background within science or engineering. Candidates without this academic background can still be considered but will need show familiarity with technical tools in programming, prototyping and/or within engineering communities. All applicants, regardless of their undergraduate degree, should reflect the entrepreneurial and innovation-driven mission of Cornell Tech.
2.这个项目适合回国创业或者加入高科技公司吗？
如果你指的是积累人脉的话，那么我觉得不是很适合，像我之前所说，这个项目适合希望在美国发展的。另一个角度来说，MBA找工作的时候以前的工作经验还是很重要的，MBA的学历很多时候只是给你一个敲门砖而已，从这个意义上讲，Cornell的牌子足够用了。
