2月9日，Reading面试经历
早上7点，就被mm无情的用电话叫起，准备坐11点的火车去reading。其实大可不必起的这么早，不过自己心里还是发虚，所以才利用早上这个学习黄金时间磨枪。后来发现是一点没效果，还不如多休息一下！
11：03分，火车从birmingham车站开出，结果遇到了英国春运高峰……sign……一直站到了birmingham international 这才有了座位（后来发现，其实我的票的座位是reserved，就是说我其实应该有座）。经过将近两个小时的车程，我来到了reading这个小城。
从火车站到学校还是有一段距离的，而且reading这个学校在一个小山坡上，由于皮鞋一直就不是特合适，等到了学校，脚已经开始隐隐做痛，影响面试心情啊！！建议以后面试的同志们，一定要穿舒服点的皮鞋！！切记！！
在reading的学联简单吃了点垃圾食品以后，匆匆赶到了reading的humanity and social sciences building。一看表，嘿，早了20多分钟，结果发现这个building简直就是曲径通幽啊，转了不知道多少个弯，终于怀着忐忑的心情，找到了 department of management。当时再一看表，还有5分钟就2点了。乖乖，差点就晚了！
走进room88，迎面走来一特慈祥的老奶奶（绝对没夸张，满头白发啊），一见我就说，你就是rodmace吧，来来，先坐啊。跟到她家里做客一样，心情大大放松。要是结果不错，还真是要感谢这位老奶奶！
言归正传，在屋里等了不多时，院长大人到了，利马把我请到一个小会议室，面试正式开始：

简单客套以后,院长大人拿出一文件袋，从里面拿出我所有的申请材料
H: Hi, so, your name is rodmace?（同时还用手指点着申请表）
M: Yeah.
H: Okay, tell me something about the strategy courses you took in LSE.
M: OK, I took 2 courses, analysis of strategy A and B, which were our core courses.
H: Who taught these courses?
M:先是一楞，怎么还有这个问题……，然后就如实回答了
H: I see. Okay, tell me what did you learn from the courses?
M: 这个问题我是准备好的，然后把game theory的东西说了说 (我说的时候，院长不时点头，当时心里挺美，其实院长那会正想下面的问题呢……)
H: Good, what do you think of the implications of game theory in business?
M:这个虽然没准备，但是毕竟学过，还是应对比较自如
H: Good, now tell me is there any problem you met during your application of game theory?
M: 这个问题就难了，哥们我不是专业研究game theory 的啊，这小子跟这个干上了，当时觉得汗就要下来了，不过还是混乱说了很多，这个问题回答的比较失败
（这个时候，院长大人拿出我的research proposal）
H: I do not have any question about the model you set up, but, would you please tell me how many data you collected for this model?
M: 857。。。。。（这个问题是我很熟，毕竟自己做过的东西）
H: How have the data been collected?
M: ^&$%^%$&$（这个是非常具体的细节问题，以后phd面试的同志们一定注意，写在rp里面的东西一定要非常非常清楚）
H: Emm, good! Which kind of statistical model you used?
M: Logistic regression
H: What results have you got from it?
M:%^%$%^$%
H: If you were admitted as our phd student, what’s your plan?
M: (这个问题也是准备过的 )I don’t think the data set I get now is good enough to draw a splendid result, so I will try to …..
H: How can you get more data, from where?
M:（没想到这么细致的问题）后面几个还是关于data的，我们讨论这个问题很长时间
H: （突然话锋一转）他从来不推荐学生读phd，太苦了，说phd简直就是life changing experience，说了半天（我当时竟然开始犯困，不过突然来的一个问题我一下醒了）what is your motivation driving you pursue this degree?（原来前面说的都是铺垫，实在是晕）
M: （当时就是努力回忆自己写的ps，照大概情况说了，其中还填油加醋的）
后面因为我自己发挥，院长大人和我又有了一段关于家庭，中国对管理的认识等等的讨论，总之是有点跑题。不过院长还是院长，很快就拨乱反正了
H: Why reading?
M:（因为当时还沉浸在跑题的话题中，没有特别重视这个问题，很失策!）申请以前我做过调查，喜欢reading的环境，氛围等等（这个问题大家一定多准备，个人觉得很重要）
H: What is the most serious disadvantage of reading in your list while you were doing your research for application?
M: （这个问题听了就蒙了一下，都练习的是怎么夸reading了，没想过不好的地方啊）只好说是没觉得什么问题。（我当时的回答非常不冷静！最好以后面试前想好一些学校存在的不足，这样更说明你对学校做过细致的研究）
H: I think the main problem is we don’t have any scholar who conduct research in your area, but Dr. AAA does focus on marketing.（当时听了很失望啊, 我当时就赶紧弥补了一下）
M: I contacted with Dr.AAA, his research interests include the history of branding, rather than seting up models.
H: You are right, but we do have many people doing modeling in our department, they can help you in the future. We usually assign two supervisors to a phd student, one of them shares research interests with the student, the other may not be in the field of your research…(开始介绍学校的导师制度什么的)
M: sounds great!
H: What results are you expected to get from your further research? What implications can you get from the results?
M: （我当时就想，转了半天又回来了……）^$^$%&$%
H: great! You know what, we expect each phd student publish at least 4 papers in the three year study. One focuses on methodology you used, one….(4个论文发表，疯了！)
这个时候慈祥老奶奶突然敲门入场
H: Sorry, our meeting has to be finished before 2:45. Do you have any questions for me?
M:把自己准备的问题问了一下…………
最后就握手再见了，后来还给报销了路费和饭费
面试一共40多分钟，专业问题问的很细致，我觉得自己准备还是不充分。个人认为要准备主要是这样几个地方：
1. 以前学过的课程
2. PS里面的内容，最好能背下来部分重要环节，省的像我还要现回忆
3. research proposal里面的内容。这个是最核心的，整个面试，大多数的问题都围绕这个进行
4. 对学校的综合考虑，要能说出自己为什么来这里，觉得好在什么地方，有什么问题
5. 准备几个出彩的问题，最后让对方印象深刻！
6. 心理和语言。面试不用紧张，老师都很和蔼，可以穿插些轻松话题，活跃气氛。
